The Attic sleeps a maximum of 4 people

The Attic is a tastefully decorated and comfortable spacious first floor, two bedroom, self catering holiday apartment which can sleep a maximum of four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Please note the property may not be suitable for younger children due to the external steps and it has no child proof measures in place such as plug covers, blinds without cords, cupboard safety locks. The property comprises of a lounge with a wood burning stove - all logs & kindling provided, kitchen/diner with an oven/hob, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, a bathroom with shower/bath and two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two singles. There is superfast broadband and a TV with Sky Q including Netflix. There is a fully enclosed fenced decked seating/dining area set up for our guests use, the log store is also in this area. There is also free on-street parking and a large public car park nearby. The Attic is a few minutes' walk from both the centre of the village and the spectacular coastline for which this part of south-west Scotland is renowned. Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. We regret, however, that the property is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Weekly rentals of The Attic are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed. Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss any requirements outwith the above terms. We will accommodate your request wherever possible.

Booking Terms & Conditions

  1. Number of occupants: The number of occupants must not exceed the number stated in the original booking.  We are licensed to accommodate a maximum of 4 guest, this amount includes children regardless of age.  The only occupants staying in the property should be the people named on the booking form. The booking will be terminated and there will be no refund if these terms not adhered to.
  2. Stag, hen or similar breaks: The house is not to be used for “stag, hen or similar weekends”. If this is ignored, the booking will be cancelled and there will be no refund of monies paid. 
  3. Care of the accommodation: The tenant agrees that care must be taken whilst in occupation of “The Attic”, the flat and surrounding area must be kept clean and tidy at all times. 
  4. Noise: Please remember that not all of your neighbours may appreciate noise at various times of the day or night and we respectfully ask that any noise is kept to a minimum to prevent any disruption. 
  5. Breakages: Any breakages or damage must be reported to the owners and may require to be paid for.
  6. Duration of stay: Rentals of “The Attic” are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed. The property will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Failure to do so will incur additional costs. 
  7. Deposits: A deposit of 20% is payable on booking. The balance is due without further reminder at least four weeks before occupation. 
  8. If the booking is made within four weeks of occupation, then full payment is required. 
  9. Cancellation: In the event of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable unless in exceptional circumstances. Full refund minus deposit for cancellations up to 14 days before check-in. 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund for cancellations after that. In the extremely unlikely event that the booking has to be cancelled by the owners or their agents for reasons out with their control, all funds paid to date for the booking will be refunded. No additional costs will be paid. You are strongly advised to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.
  10. Disclaimer: The owners will not or do not accept any third party liability. You are strongly advised to ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover you in the event of mishap. 
  11. Dogs: We are dog friendly, maximum of 2 well behaved dogs unless agreed by prior arrangement. Please ensure you advise us that you are bringing dogs when booking. We do not accept any other type of pets.
  12. Electric Vehicles: Please note we explicitly forbid the charging of EVs via a domestic charger at the property. We also forbid the charging of e-scooters and e-bikes.
